A Baby Girl in Bandar Lampung Indonesia Almost Kidnapped by Unknown People

Kupastuntas.co, Bandar Lampung - A baby girl with the initials IY, 1 year old, almost became a kidnapping victim on Teluk Ambon Street, Pidada Village, Panjang District, Bandar Lampung City of Indonesia on Tuesday (31/1/2023) around 14.00 PM.

The victim's neighbor who also caught the perpetrator, Oktaviana, said that when the incident occurred she was sitting on the terrace of the house with her child, suddenly a woman approached the victim IY whose house was in front of her house.

"This neighbor's child was playing in front of the house, suddenly women came and approach IY," said Oktaviana, when questioned.

Oktaviana explained that the perpetrator had asked her to chat, so she was not suspicious. She admitted that she felt hypnotized while chatting with the alleged perpetrator. She was silent when the alleged perpetrator held the victim YI.

"When I was invited to chat I was hypnotized, so I just kept quiet when the perpetrator touched the victim. The perpetrator also asked the victim's age," she said.

Not long after, Oktaviana woke up and shouted at the perpetrator when she was already holding the victim YI and was about to be taken away. At that time the perpetrator immediately released the baby and immediately ran away.

The perpetrator was chased by residents, but disappeared and was never found again. After the incident, the child was still traumatized when he met other people and always cried.

The characteristics of the perpetrator are old lady around the age of 50, wearing a negligee, scary face and messy hair.

"The perpetrator was just herself, not from here and had never seen it either," She added.

The victim's mother, Dede, said that when the incident occurred, she was shopping at a shop not far from the house. While the child and his brother were playing with neighbors.

"I was surprised when the neighbors told me, they said my child wanted to be taken by someone, already being carried," She said.

While the Panjang Police Chief, police commissioner Joni, admitted that his party had not received a report regarding the kidnapping of the child. He also urged the victim's parents to report the incident.

"There are no reports yet. To parents to be more careful looking after their children, we will also routinely carry out anticipatory patrols," he concluded. (*)
