The suspects within five months were able to send 4 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine to Lampung.

Central Lampung Resort Police Chief AKBP Doffie Fahlevi Sanjaya said four suspects along with 1 kilogram of methamphetamine as evidence were arrested on Monday, January 30, 2023.

"Last Monday at around 10.30 WIB, we arrested two perpetrators, namely IM (Imam Mahmudi) and HS (Helmi Siswandi) while driving a brown APV car in the Terbanggi Besar area," said Doffie while leading an exposure at the Central Lampung Police Resort. . Wednesday, February 1, 2023.

During a search in the car, the police found evidence in the form of a red pillow which contained 1.06 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine stored in a tea bag covered with duct tape. Furthermore, the police carried out development of the two perpetrators, and re-arrested two other perpetrators namely Yuyus Surya and M. Riski Saputra Siregar in the Jalan Proklamator area, Bandarjaya Barat Sub-District, Terbanggi Besar District, while driving Xenia's car.

"After we secured IM and HS, then we carried out the development and secured YS and MR in the West Bandarjaya area," he said.

The suspects, Helmi Siswandi, 33, are a resident of Kampung Padang Ratu, Yayus Surya, 34, a resident of Tanjung Harapan, Anak Tuha District, 42-year-old Imam Mahmudi, a resident of Kampung Bandar Sari, Padang Ratu District, and M. Riski Saputra Siregar, 26, a resident of Sunggal District, Sumatra North.

"The article we apply to the suspects is Article 144 paragraph 2 or Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the maximum threat of the death penalty. So we have no mercy for the distribution of drugs, "said the Chief of Police.

The Head of the Narcotics Unit of the Central Lampung Resort Police, AKP Dwi Yofi Atma revealed, from the results of the investigation the perpetrators had brought these illicit goods into the Lampung area 7 times. The methamphetamine carried varied from 300 grams to 2 kilograms.

"Until finally, we were able to secure this 1.06 kilogram methamphetamine," said Dwi.

Dwi explained that the suspects took methamphetamine from Medan, North Sumatra. To bring methamphetamine into Lampung, the suspects used two cars.

“The two perpetrators drove a silver Xenia car to monitor and see the situation if there was a raid. When it was declared safe, then the APV car was driven by two other actors who were carrying methamphetamine, and then they could continue on their way," he explained.

Dwi said the police had carried out investigations and had the identity of the owner of the methamphetamine that the suspects were carrying.

A suspect, Yayus Surya, revealed that he had repeatedly brought methamphetamine into Lampung.

“In the last five months, I have sent 4 kilograms of soap to Lampung. Recently he was arrested while carrying more than 1 kilogram of methamphetamine," said Yayus.

Yayus said that he received Rp. 100 million for delivery of methamphetamine, divided by four people.

"The soap is taken from Medan. One kilogram of methamphetamine was purchased at Rp. 500 million," he said.

Officers from the Bandar Lampung Police Narcotics Criminal Unit arrested one dealer and fifteen drug dealers within three weeks. The suspects were arrested on January 9, 2023 to January 30, 2023, with evidence of 84.05 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1.13 grams of marijuana and 0.45 grams of synthetic tobacco.

The Head of the Bandar Lampung Police Narcotics Crime Unit, Kompol Gigih Andri Putranto, said that the uncovering of the narcotics case was based on 11 police reports. The suspects are RA, MI, ED, IS, HK, DS, DH, RD, GP, RM, FK, AA, DP, MN, MS and AZ.

"AA is a methamphetamine dealer who was secured with a BB of 60 grams. AA is a recidivist in the same case in 2017. Meanwhile, the other suspects are drug dealers," he explained.

AA suspect is subject to Article 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 112 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of imprisonment for 20 years or life imprisonment. And other dealers are subject to Article 114 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 112 paragraph 1 of Law no. 35 of 2009 with a threat of imprisonment for 15 years.

“AA admits that he sells methamphetamine via Instagram, starting at IDR 100,000 to IDR 500,000. Once you sell, you get a profit of IDR 200,000,” he said. (*)
